We're going to the cottage! Ins Ferienhaus!

We're going back to this cottage, where we have been twice before. Leaving on Saturday for a whole week!

Wir gehen zurueck in das Ferienhaus, welches wir schon einige Male besucht hatten. Am Samstag gehts los, fuer eine ganze Woche!


Rusty isn't coming with us. For one thing, we have no room in the car, and for another thing, he doesn't like "different". He gets to go vacation at the Villa Labriola. In the meantime, he thinks he's being left behind, which is why he's sitting on the bags...

Der arme Rusty kommt nicht mit. Er hat nicht gerne "anders", und es ist ihm ueberall unwohl. Nur zuhause nicht, und auch nicht in der Villa Labriola. Heute darf er dorthin, um von Pino und Mami verwoehnt zu werden (diesmal hats auch keine Katzen mehr, die ihn stoeren werden). Aber waehrend wir packen, muss er immer genau auf den Koeffern liegen, damit wir ihn ja nicht vergessen! (Mit Totschgsicht!!)

We moved into the gym for food because it started raining. Sonja of course got right into the action!

Walking?.....maybe tomorrow.
I crash a lot, so Mommy said she's getting me a helmet.

Sitzen? schon lange.
Kriechen? pf....auch schon lange
Stehen? mach ich schon seit einiger Zeit.
Laufen?....um...vielleicht versuch ich es morgen.
Meine Mami sagt sie wird mir einen Helm kaufen weil ich doch trotzdem noch oft hinfalle...

Ben's first school trip!

Today was Benjamin's very first school trip. All the way downtown, at the University of Toronto's Hart House, to see a play called Jillian Jigg's and the Pirates.

The big yellow school bus took them away...and, in Benjamin's own words, it was a bumpy ride!

Of course his crazy mommy had to take pictures and blog it....


First, they had to sit and wait to be called.

Then, each child received a pin with the school's name and phone number on it.

Sonja in the meantime, who has been up and awake and happy since 5 am, is contently sitting on the floor playing with my keys.

Looks like he is one of the last to get on. No wonder it was a bumpy ride, he sat way in the back!

Velo fahre!! My new bike!

Min Nonno hät es Velo gfunde, sRad gflickt, und sGrosmami hät mer son en schöne Helm gkauft, und jetzt chan i de ganzi Tag velo fahre!

My nonno found this bike and fixed the wheel on it. Then, my Grosmami bought me this nice new helmet, and now I can drive my bike all day long!
