This is what the classrooms are called in a Montessori School. There is lots of natural light, and lots of toys and items made with materials taken directly from the natural environment (lots of wood, very little plastic). I like the orderly way every item has been placed in a strategic location that is reachable by even the smallest child.
This classroom was designed with toddlers (up to 3 years) in mind. There is also another classroom that toddlers use, the drop-off location, which looks more like a gymnasium. It has pushtoys, balls, tents, mats and little gyms for climbing.
