Renovations

With the new vents in the floor instead of in the walls, we have better heat distribution (or air conditioning, depending on the season).

Benjamin of course had to get his tools and "help" finalize the entire procedure!

Benjamin's Art

School's back on and Benjamin is full into his art and crafts experience. Hand prints with fingerpaint, and sewing!

Haircut - Haar geschnitten

Mommy snipped my hair while I was distracted with my painting!
Mami hat mir die Haare geschnitten während ich mit Pinsel und Farbe gemalt habe.

I now like popsicles! Nun mag ich Glace!

Air Conditioner MOVED!

Finally....some action. The AC unit moved from underneath the porch (it was full of doghair)....

...to the side of the house...

...and yes, we still have to get rid of the rubble from the porch...

Tante Barbara hät neue Babys im Huus!

When naptime doesn't happen...

...and he falls asleep before dinner and refused to wake up. Not even a bowl of bribes (cheerios, raisins, smarties) did the trick this day. And look at those red, chubby teething cheeks...Benjamin is exactly 2.5 years old here.

So fest schläft er wenn er eigentlich Z'Nacht essen sollte. Das passiert halt, wenn man nicht Mittagsschlaf macht, wenn man soll...Nicht mal ein Schüsselchen voll Cheerios, Weinbeeren und Smarties hat ihn diesmal geweckt. Und dann die dicken, roten Bäckchen, weil er immer noch zahnt...er ist nun genau 2.5 Jahre alt hier.

Renovations

We couldn't get anyone to show up to move our furnace, so we asked Bob to move the water heater instead. It's not the perfect solution but at least now we can move on with the renos. This has been an ongoing saga.

Water heater was where the washer and dryer are now (they will be replaced with stackable new ones shortly). A wall will separate the laundry room from the other side.

The water heater in its new location, next to the furnace. We will put up insulated walls around this thing and make part of that a utility closet to store such things like vacuum cleaners, brooms and mops.

Broken Computer

My computer is broken and needs to be sent out for repairs. The other computer we have does not have the photo application installed on it. It will be a while before new photos will be published on this blog.

Visiting Elise

We went to Ellie's house on Labourday weekend, and Benjamin didn't have a nap prior to arriving. But after the initial slow start, they started playing together, giggling together, running around...typical toddlers. They both had a GREAT time!
