Montessori Christmas Concert
Every year my school peforms something at Christmastime. This year, we are not doing a play. That is because most of the children are younger than the past two years. Many of the toddlers are not even 2 years old yet, and many of the CASA children in my class are my age, 3 and 4. Last year there were children who were 5 and 6, who are better able to memorize lines.
We had a list of songs to sing. We've been practicing since September!
But the gym looked very nice. My teachers took our artwork and displayed it for everyone to see.

After the parade
After the parade we went to the local library and had hot chocolate and cookies. And we made crafts!
Santa Claus parade
The local Santa Claus parade was on Dec. 6 this year. It was very cold. Sonja was sick but bundled up in as many layers as she allowed us to put on her.
Auntie Ing came to join us for the parade. Here she is chasing a sick toddler around...
Madelaine and Sebastian came with their parents too. Just like every year, the children wait patiently for the big Firetucks to start things off.

And who is this?? It's Bob! OUR Bob! From our basement! He is pulling a float! And his dog Molly came along too!
Of course we need some Canada flags to mark the occasion.
And someone brought us lollipops! No sharing with mommy...
Auntie Ing chatted up all the parade people.
Finally, Tweety bird came to say hello!

dSonja isch ächli chrank gsii, dann hät de Nonno amigs müese iri Nase putze. Und vo de Tante Michi häts auna es Päckli gää....die Guezliformli ufem Stuel sind vo ire.

Jetzt chamer sogar Magebrot bi eus chaufe. Das Pack is für de Daddy gsii aber sMami hät dänn alli sälber gässe. Und de Gritibänz? sGrosmami hät für jede eine bache!
